(for those non-Australian's out there, translate to; “Gee... It didn't do what I thought it would...") Well, if any of you have seen some of my posts in the forum, you know that when I get on a roll, man. I can post some dooozies... So the plan is to deliver a series of articles in collaboration with a number of other Joomla! experts and well-known characters that relate to Site Planning, Integrity, Security and Maintenance over the coming months. For some of you, these might be a little basic, while others might find them to be worth the time spent reading them, we hope it will be the latter. |

In yet another step to lowering the barriers to contributing to the Joomla Project, we are pleased to announce our new Translation and Localization Policy. Our existing Translation Teams worked together with OSM to refine and update to the process to encourage contributors, foster collaboration, and maintain the spirit of the open source community. Jean-Marie Simonet from the Translations Working Group has a blog post detailing the changes in our translation and localization efforts. |

The Joomla Project is pleased to announce our latest undertaking to promote sites using Joomla—our new Joomla Community Showcase. The showcase is a hub for community users to share sites they've discovered or built themselves. Launching today with just over 100 sites, the showcase has a wide range of categories—arts, education, business, sports, non-profits and more. It's designed in the same familiar layout as the Joomla Extensions Directory so users will be able to quickly find what they're looking for. |
